How'd it Burn! How'd it Burn! How'd it Burn!
So I guess I'm going to start off with a movie review of a film I just saw yesterday, which is the remake of The Wicker Man, starring Nicolas Cage. I've never seen the '73 original but I can't imagine it's anything like this film. Not having any knowledge of the film before viewing I got the impression of a film filled with possessed children and sacrifices. I can't take horror films seriously at all and this film doesn't seem like it wants to be serious! Cage plays a cop looking for a missing child on an island filled with women living a hymenopteran society - ironically Cage's character is allergic to bees and carries EpiPens with him (reminded me of The Rock, but there were no green flares or Sean Connery to save him from this mess). This movie is most unintentionally humorously misogynistic film I've ever seen. If you want to be scared, this is not a film to watch. The only things this film may scare you away from are Pagan/Pantheistic religions and island communities in the state of Washington. If you want to see a good film, this is not the film to watch. If you want a good laugh, this may entertain you. I won't recommend it, but I will say you'll have a good time watching it. When I said the film was misogynistic, Cage kicks LeeLee Sobieski in the face like he was kicking down a door......and then there's this:
It has begun..........
Hi all. So I figured I would start a blog. Let's you know what I'm up to and what's on my mind, more egocentric and narcissistic than those social networking sites. I'm not sure exactly what I'll have up since I'm not very photogenic or a shutterbug - maybe a hilariously stupid video here or a movie review there. I'll show off some hearing protection devices or maybe something fried....
